Yahshua Keeps Sabbath And The Feasts

Yahshua Keeps Sabbath And The Feasts

Yahshua keeps Sabbath and the Feasts are verifiable truths from the Bible that nobody can ever deny especially to those against these even if they try. All one need to do is read the Elohim’s Word, the Bible, and do what it says. Yahweh pronounces blessings for those who keep His Sabbaths, but curses for those who will not hearken to Him. For more about this just read all of Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 5, the “blessings and cursings” chapters. Today let us embark you on an in-depth Bible study to plainly and clearly show–from your own Bible –that Yahweh’s Sabbath and Feasts (Holy Days) are in effect and should be kept always. But over the centuries, these two very important Bible truths and commands were somehow lost to millions. But one must always remember the ideas and customs of men really mean nothing in Yahweh’s sight, because the Bible clearly say we are to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of Elohim (Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:4), that is, the Bible! As always, we humbly ask the Holy Spirit of Yahweh to help and guide us in preaching these sacred things to you. May you have the eyes to see and ears to hear for this true and faithful heavenly message.

The revelation of Yahweh’s Holy Days (Feasts) are nearly as old as the Bible itself, and were known and practiced by the Church of the old days for many years after the Savior’s (Yahshua) ascension to heaven. The annual Holy Days were ordained by Yahweh our Elohim, kept by the ancient Israelites, and continued by the early New Testament Church. These seven holy annual appointed Feasts picture Elohim’s plan of salvation for mankind! Take the time to look upon these verses in your Bible (Leviticus 23; Zechariah 14:16; John 7:8-10; Acts 2:1; 12:3; 20:6; 16; 27:9; 1 Corinthians 5:8; 16:8). Please note first that many who would oppose the keeping of Elohim’s Holy Days mockingly label them as “Jewish,” but the Bible correctly informs us that these are the Feasts of Yahweh, not the “Jews” (Leviticus 23:2-5; 44). They were commanded by Elohim to be observed by all forever! (Leviticus 23:31; 41). Take notice that the Holy days were ordained during the year before the sacrifices were given to Israel (Exodus 12 and 13). Also take note, the Days of the Unleavened Bread and His Sabbaths were given as part of the identifying sign between Yahweh and His people! (Exodus 13:9; Ezekiel 20:12, 20). The biblical account on the book of Jeremiah 7:21-23 very clearly points out that Yahweh instructed Israel about the Holy days at the time He brought them out of Egypt. Yahweh did not institute the burnt offerings or sacrifices until later. Therefore, the Holy Days do not stand or fall with the sacrifices, but they are truly commanded forever! The animal sacrifices and oblations, by contrast, were to last only until the ultimate sacrifice of Yahshua Messiah at the Calvary, since, yes, they all pointed to Him in some way, shape, or form!

Additionally, it is very, very important for all the peoples to know that the very Savior of mankind, Yahshua Himself, kept and observed the Sabbath (Luke 4:16). Yahshua also kept and observed the Passover and the Days of Unleavened Bread (Luke 2:41, 42); the Feast of Tabernacles, and the Last Great Day, etc. (John 7:1-2, 14, 37). Yes, Yahshua the Messiah must be our example in all things (John 13:15; 1 Peter 2:21; 1 John 2:6). It is also for your own benefit to know that the New Testament Church and all the original apostles of Yahshua kept the Passover and Days of Unleavened Bread (Acts 12:3; 20:6; 1 Corinthians 16:8); the Day of Atonement (Acts 27:9); the Feast of Tabernacles (Acts 18:21). The apostle Paul also told the Colossians not to let anyone condemn them for observing the days that Yahweh made holy (Colossians 2:16-17). Yahweh warns mankind specifically and repeatedly to “Learn not the way of the heathen” (Jeremiah 10:2). Yahshua also warned, “But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men” (Matthew 15:9; Mark 7:7), and, “Why you call Me Master, Master,” He asks, “And do not do the things that I say” (Luke 6:46)? Therefore, do not let the “lawless” preachers confuse you and put you astray! The Bible is clear and is easily explained if we just take the Scriptures for what they say and not read something or add something into the Bible that is not there!

Furthermore, concerning the observance of Sabbath, there are so many preachers in different churches or denominations today who are teaching that Yahshua and His finished work is the Sabbath rest and that He kept it for the peoples, so peoples now are no longer under obligation to keep it. Is this true? No, it is not true! This is a common misconception! Yahshua is not the Sabbath; the seventh day of the week (Saturday) is the Sabbath! (Exodus 20:10; 23:21; Hebrews 4:4). The fourth commandment is clearly shown to be commanded in the New Testament as well as the Old! Yahweh’s weekly Sabbath is a type of the ultimate millennial Sabbath that is yet to come! Nothing here is anything to do with doing away with the Sabbath or changing the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday! Also, the Bible indicates very clear that it was the apostle Paul’s custom to observe the Sabbath on a Saturday, not Sunday–the pagan day of the sun. In fact, all through the book of Acts, we see it was Paul’s custom to observe the Sabbath (Acts 17:2; 13:14-15, 42-44). Nowhere do we see a transfer of Yahweh’s holy Sabbath day (Exodus 20:8-11) to the 1st day (Sunday) of the week! It just isn’t there!

In closing, the Bible tells us that Yahshua keeps the Sabbath and the Feasts. Notice, now about the middle of the Feast Yahshua went up into the temple and taught…and on the last day, that great day of the Feast, Yahshua stood and cried out on the crowd saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink…..”(John 7:2, 14, 37). Note that Yahweh blessed the seventh day (Saturday), not and never the first (Sunday). Note also that the Son of Man (Yahshua) is the Master of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28). Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles, also kept the Sabbath (Acts 17:2). Paul taught the Gentiles on the Sabbath (Acts 13:42, 44). Yahweh’s Sabbaths, including the high or annual Sabbaths, are part of the identifying sign between Elohim and His people! (Exodus 13:9; 31:13; Ezekiel 20:12, 20). The Feast of Tabernacles will be faithfully observed during the Millennium by everyone–both Jew and Gentile (Zechariah 14:16). Yes, all seven Feasts are mentioned in Leviticus 23. They were kept in the past (Leviticus 23:4), will be kept in the future (Zechariah 14:16, 19), and they must beĀ  observed by all the true and faithful believers today (Matthew 5:4). Do not ever believe and stay away from those who reject Yahweh’s Sabbath and Holy Days in an effort to support their very wrong belief that they are now “done away” or “nailed to the cross.” The Sabbath is an integral part of the Ten Commandments! How can anyone say the correct observance of it no longer apply and yet those against it obey the others? No sense at all! Regrettably, such bad reasoning is based on very poor understanding of the entire Bible! Putting all these things together, we can see that all who would be in the first resurrection in Elohim’s Kingdom on Earth had better learn to observe Yahweh’s Sabbath and Holy days now, because they are ordained of Yahweh and are to be kept forever! (Leviticus 23:21, 31, 41; Exodus 12:14-15). Again, we all must always be very careful that we do not read preconceived ideas into the Bible that are not there! We need to follow the Bible, not man-made ideas and pagan traditions! May Elohim bless all the faithful doers of His Word. May the love, peace, truth, mercy and grace of Almighty Yahweh be with all the brethren of the same faith. We humbly pray these to the Father in heaven Yahweh in the name of Yahshua, our Savior and Master and King, Amen. Halleluyah and Shalom!
