The Fruits of the Holy Spirit

The Fruits Of The Holy Spirit

The Fruits of the Holy Spirit — what are they? But first we have to know what the Holy Spirit is. Correctly understanding the truth about the Holy Spirit can unlock the Bible and transform the life of a devout Christian to better understand heavenly Father Yahweh’s purpose and will for his or her life. Yahshua the Messiah promised to send His followers the Holy Spirit as a “Helper” (John 14:16). And yes, Yahshua also promised the most horrible consequence to all those who will blaspheme the Holy Spirit of Yahweh, saying: “Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation” (Mark 3:28-29). As always, we will let the Bible interpret itself as we now humbly ask the Holy Spirit of the Father for holy guidance and heavenly wisdom in teaching you this very crucial and very important subject matter. Come and join us for today’s presentation of our study of the Scripture. May you have the eyes to see and ears to hear for this true and faithful Gospel preaching.

The word “fruit” can mean benefits, effects or results. There certainly are many benefits of having the gift of the Holy Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22-23 which says: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” But let us share with you some additional biblical passages that talks about the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:9 actually has the same phrase found in Galatians 5:22—fruit of the Spirit.” Ephesians 5:8-9 says: “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Master. Walk as children of light for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.” These form a very good summary of the results Yahweh’s Spirit will produce in the lives of all true believers, which are listed in greater detail in Galatians 5:22-23. In Romans 14:17, apostle Paul spoke of the righteousness, peace, and joy produced by the Holy Spirit. This overlaps the list in Galatians 5:22-23 and adds the very crucial element of righteousness. When Yahweh gives anyone a spiritual gift, it is by His Holy Spirit that He does so (Romans 12; 1 Corinthians 12).

Furthermore, the Holy Spirit miraculously enables a person to deeply understand Yahweh’s spiritual truth. Without the help of His Spirit, a person is spiritually blind (2 Corinthians 3:14; 4:3-4; Matthew 13:16-17). Particularly profound is what 1 Corinthians 2 says about the “deep things of Yahweh” being a “mystery” and “hidden” until Yahweh Himself reveals them “through His Spirit” (verses 7, 10). Yes, “No one comprehends the thoughts of Yahweh except (by) the Spirit of Yahweh.” Almighty Yahweh uses His Spirit to lead and guide us, even to “teach” us what to say when we’re under pressure(Romans 8:14; Luke 12:11-12). Yahshua also said the Holy Spirit will “bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you” (John 14:26). Another wonderful result of Yahweh’s Spirit at work in a person’s life is brought out in 2 Timothy 1:6-7, where apostle Paul tells us the “gift of Yahweh” is not “a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” In Ephesians 1:13-14, apostle Paul speaks of “the gospel of your salvation” and goes on to say: “When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, (which) is a faithful deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of all those who are Yahweh’s possession.” Read also 2 Corinthians 1:22, 5:5). That perspective gives us a firm foundation for our faith of the promises of Yahweh to us.

In closing, to conquer the “works of the flesh” and produce the fruit of the Spirit, we need the gift of Yahweh’s Holy Spirit dwelling within us. Hear this inspiring message from apostle Paul: “If you live to satisfy your sinful self, the harvest you will get from that will will be eternal death. But if you live to please the Spirit, your harvest from the Spirit will be eternal life. We must not get tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time. We must not give up” (Galatians 6:8-9). So how do you measure up? Does your life show the fruit of Yahweh’s Spirit? If not, what’s stopping you today from doing what Elohim says you should do to receive the great blessings that come with that? Yes, with Yahweh’s Holy Spirit dwelling in us, we have a close, intimate relationship with Elohim the Father and His Begotten Son Yahshua the Messiah! (1 Corinthians 1:9; 1 John 1:3, 6-7). And along with apostle Paul, we can say, “Messiah lives in me” (Galatians 2:20).  Our dear peoples you’ve just read the Bible truth about the Fruits of the Holy Spirit.
