The Bible Truth About Angels

Are Angels True And Still Exist?

Are angels true and still exist? You may have this question on your mind and is looking for a direct and definitive answer. The short and simple answer to this evergreen question is yes, angels are very real and they all remain alive as spiritual beings. Today, we’re going to share with you the biblical truth about the angels. We’re going to talk specifically about the “good” or the “heavenly” angels for this particular teaching. We’re not going to talk much about the “Wicked One” or his “bad” angels today, as we’ve already talked about them in our past Bible study. As always, we’ll reference the Bible as our only standard of truth where we get our teachings from and we’ll let the Holy Scripture interpret itself all throughout this preaching. We now ask the Holy Spirit of Yahweh for help and guidance on this topic. May you have the eyes to see and the ears to hear for this true and faithful heavenly message.

The Almighty Father Yahweh wants us to know about His family. The angels are part of Elohim’s family. In the Bible they are called “sons of Elohim” (Job 38:7). What do the angels do? How have they helped people in the past? And can they help us now? We need to know where the angels came from. The Bible tells us that with Yahweh’s firstborn Yahshua, “all other things were then created in the heavens and on the earth” (Colossians 1:16). That includes the angels. How many of them were created? The Bible says that there are hundreds of millions of angels (Psalm 103:20; Revelation 5:11). The Bible also teaches us that Yahweh created the angels before He created the earth. How did they feel when they saw the earth? The Bible says they were joyful and they’re a close family serving Yahweh together (Job 38:4-7).

Additionally, angels have always been interested in humans and in Elohim’s purpose for the earth and humans (Proverbs 8:30, 31; 1 Peter 1:11, 12). And it must have made them very sad when Adam and Eve rebelled. They must be even sadder now to see that most humans have disobeyed Elohim. But when someone repents and returns to Elohim, the angels are joyful (Luke 15:10). The angels are very interested in those who serve Elohim. Yahweh uses angels to help and protect His servants on earth (Hebrews 1:7, 14). Let us look at some examples of this. Elohim sent two angels to help Lot and his family escape the destruction of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19:15, 16). Hundreds of years later, the prophet Daniel was thrown into a lions’ pit, but he was not harmed, because “Yahweh sent His angel and shut the mouths of the lions” (Daniel 6:22). Later, when the apostle Peter was in prison, Elohim sent an angel to set him free (Acts 12:6-11). Yes, angels also helped Yahshua when He was on earth. For example, after He was baptized, “angels were ministering to Him” (Mark 1:13). Yet again, just before our Savior Yahshua was executed, an angel “strengthened Him” (Luke 22:43).

In closing, are angels true and still exist? Again, the answer is yes! Today, angels may appear to humans unnoticed. Yahweh still uses angels to help his true servants! The Bible says: “The angel of Elohim camps all around those fearing Him, and He rescues them” (Psalm 34:7). But why do we need protection? Surely, you hear people saying, “My guardian angel helped me.” Yes, it is true! Yahweh helps people through His angels! Why? Because we have very powerful enemies who want to harm us—Satan the devil and his demons! We need to read the Bible every day and learn to rely on Elohim to protect us. Just as a shield protects a soldier in battle, our unwavering faith can protect us. If we have absolute confidence that Elohim can protect us, we will be able to resist Satan and the demons (Matthew 17:20). If we have strong confidence in Yahshua, Satan and the demons will not be able to harm us (1 John 5:5). The apostle Paul told the Christians in Ephesus to “Carry on prayer on every occasion” (Ephesians 6:18). Yes, we need to ask Yahweh for His protection! We can be confident that with Elohim’s help we can win our fight against Satan and his demons (1 Peter 5:6, 7; 2 Peter 2:9). Remember, we are not alone in our big fight against these evil spirit beings. Yahweh is using His angels to protect His people (2 Kings 6:15-17)! We hope you’re blessed by this Bible teaching. May Elohim bless you and keep you, especially to those who are doers of His Word and not hearers only. These things we ask and pray to Yahweh through Yahshua the Messiah our coming Savior, Master and King, Amen. Halleluyah and Shalom to all our brethren!
