Bible Truths About Satan And Demons

If you believe that Satan the Devil and the demons are only the results of one’s imagination and they are simply not real, think again! The Bible tells us a powerful archangel named Satan or Lucifer rebelled against the Almighty Father Yahweh in heaven because he wanted to overthrow Him and to rule over others. Satan the Devil also wanted other angels to rebel against Heavenly Father Yahweh. Satan was able to trick Eve, and since then he has tricked most humans. Meanwhile the Bible calls those wicked angels demons. They chose to join Satan’s rebellion, and the Devil became their ruler (Matthew 9:34). Because they were rebels, Yahweh did not accept the demons back into His heavenly family (2 Peter 2:4). These demons cannot change into humans anymore, but be very aware and be warned they are still misleading the entire inhabited earth (Revelation 12:9; 1 John 5:19). In today’s message we are going to warn you about the wickedness and the deception of Satan the Devil and his demonic angels. We are going to share with you how Satan and his demons are able to trick and mislead so many. The Bible have already warned us about this! “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron” (1 Timothy 4:1-2). As always we are going to ask for the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit to reveal Bible truths about Satan and demons.

The demons trick people in many ways. When people contact the demons they do it either directly or through someone else, such as a witch doctor or a psychic. Contact with the demons is called demonism or spiritism. But the Bible commands us to stay far away from anything that has to do with the demons (Galatians 5:19-21). Why? Because the demons use tricks to trap and control people. One of their tricks is called divination. That is the use of supernatural powers to try to find out about the future or the unknown. Someone might try to do this by looking at the stars, searching for omens, reading tarot cards, using a crystal ball, or reading the palm of a person’s hand. Many people think that these practices are harmless, but they are not! The Bible shows that demons and fortune-tellers work together (Acts 16:16-18). Demons also try to make people believe that it’s possible to talk to the dead and that those who have died are actually alive somewhere and can still communicate. Many people go to a spirit medium to accomplish this. The medium may tell the person something interesting about the dead friend or relative and even imitate the dead person’s voice (1 Samuel 28:3-19). Many funeral customs are also based on the belief that the dead are still alive somewhere. These may include funeral celebrations, funeral anniversaries, sacrifices for the dead, widowhood rites, or some wake rituals. True Christians must know these practices are of pagan origin. Never ever try to communicate with the dead or the demons and never get yourself involved in demonic customs (Deuteronomy 18:10-11; Isaiah 8:19). They are so harmful and dangerous!

Do you know the Bible tells us how to resist the demons and how to break free from them? The Bible says: “Quite a number of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them up before everybody (Acts 19:19). They are the people from the city of Ephesus who were communicating with the demons before they learned the real truth. Because they wanted to be true Christians, they destroyed all their books about magic. Similar action is necessary today. Everyone who wants to serve and obey our Father in heaven Yahweh needs to get rid of things that have anything to do with the demons or devil. This includes books, magazines, horoscopes, movies, music, games, and even posters that make magic, demons, or the supernatural seem harmless or exciting. It also includes things that people wear to protect themselves from evil. Notice! The Bible clearly tells us: “You cannot drink the cup of Yahweh and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of Yahweh’s table and of the table of demons” (1 Corinthians 10:21). If we get rid of everything in our life that has to do with demonism and rely on Almighty Yahweh to protect us, we can resist Satan and the demons. We do not need to be afraid of them. The Bible plainly tells us: “Therefore submit to Yahweh. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to Yahweh and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded” (James 4:7-8). Our Heavenly Father is far more powerful than the demons. Yahweh punished them in Noah’s day, and in the future He will destroy them! The Bible plainly tells us: “And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own habitation, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgement of the great day” (Jude 1:6) Remember, we are not alone in our fight for good. Yahweh is using His heavenly angels to protect His people (2 Kings 6:15-17). We can be confident that with Yahweh’s help, we can win our fight against Satan and the demons (1 Peter 5:6-7; 2 Peter 2:9).

At this point, you might be asking: “How can I protect myself from Satan the Devil and the demons”? The apostle Paul wrote: “Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of Yahweh; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints (Ephesians 6:16-18). Just as a shield protects a soldier in battle, our faith can protect us. If we have absolute confidence that Yahweh can protect us, we will be able to resist Satan and the demons just like Yahshua Messiah said: “…If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:20). We need to ask our Father in heaven Yahweh for His protection, and we need to use His name when we pray just what the Bible tells us: “The name of Yahweh is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe” (Proverbs 18:10). If we keep on asking Yahweh to deliver us from Satan, Yahweh will answer our prayers. The Bible clearly tells us the following words: “He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them” (Psalms 145:19). “And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” (Matthew 6:13).

Furthermore, Satan and the demons not only trick people but frighten them. Today, these wicked spiritual beings know that they have only “a short period of time” before Yahweh removes them from the earth, so they are more violent and aggressive than ever. However, some demons are more aggressive, hateful, vengeful than others. Different demons affect the people they possess in so many ways. Some demons attempt to hurt, harm, or destroy the persons they possess. As an example, the Bible tells us the demon often threw the possessed person “into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him” (Mark 9:22). The man possessed by the “legion” in Mark 5 was “always, night and day…in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones” (Mark 5:5). Some demons cause physical impairments such as dumbness, deafness, and blindness. The Bible tells us: “…they brought to Him (Yahshua) a dumb man possessed with a devil. And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake…” (Matthew 9:32-33). “Then was brought unto Him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and He (Yahshua) healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw” (Matthew 12:22). Again, the Bible tells us what Yahshua said and did: “He rebuked the foul spirit, saying to him, “You dumb and deaf spirit, I charge you, come out of him, and enter no more into him” (Mark 9:25). Some demons exhibit their supernatural powers through miracle-like phenomena. These demonic “miracles” often include levitation, telekinesis, mind reading, and automatic unexplainable bizarre writing. Some demons are “foul spirits” because they cause the people they possess to exhibit perverse behavior, and spew out vile, filthy language and obscenities (Mark 9:25; Revelation 18:2). Very often, Demons cause the persons they possess to appear insane. Demons can also be “legion” in numbers when possessing a person (Mark 5:13; Mark 16:9). Dabbling in occult practices can and does result in demon possession! Some people have learned this the hard way!

In closing, the Bible is very clear: Satan the Devil is a literal, spiritual being; and demons are spiritual personalities that think, reason, speak, and put fear, and under certain conditions, can enter into and possess the body and mind of a human being! The Bible talks about abominable practitioners of paganism such as sorcerers and magicians (Genesis 41:8,24; Exodus 7:11; Daniel 1:20; 2:2-13; 4:7); diviners (Deuteronomy 18:4; 1 Samuel 6:2); of soothsayers (Isaiah 2:6; Daniel 2:27); of those (mediums) with “familiar spirits” (Leviticus 19:31; 1 Samuel 28:7); of wizards (Leviticus 19:31; 1 Samuel 28:3); of enchanters and witches (Exodus 22:18; 2 Chronicles 33:6); of necromancers (Deuteronomy 18:11); of astrologers (Isaiah 47:13; Daniel 1:20). When Yahweh brought the people of Israel out of Egypt, He utterly condemned the use of such practices. This is clearly proved by the following Bible passages: “You shall not permit a sorceress to live” (Exodus 22:18); “You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor shall you practice divination or soothsaying” (Leviticus 19:26); “Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am Yahweh your Elohim” (Leviticus 19:31); “And the person who turns after mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people” (Leviticus 20:6); “A man or a woman who is a medium, or who has familiar spirits, shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones. Their blood shall be upon them” (Leviticus 20:27); “When you come into the land which Yahweh your Elohim is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead (Deuteronomy 18:9-11). How about you? Do you believe in such abominable practices, or worse, practice such abominable acts? You have just been warned by Yahweh now through this true and faithful ministry. May the Holy Spirit convict your heart of the Bible truths about Satan and demons. May our heavenly Father Yahweh and Yahshua Messiah keep you and always protect you from those evil spirit beings. Shalom, Halleluyah!
