Stay Away From The Halloween
Stay away from the Halloween tradition, as practicing this is pagan and real demonic. Yes, you read it right! Celebrating Halloween is not biblical in any way, shape, or form. As we approach the day of remembering the death of a loved one, or someone dear to us, by way of practicing and/or celebrating Halloween and/or All Saints’ Day, we are here to warn you not to do it for your own good. You may be one of those celebrating the Halloween without ever thinking the very dark side origin of this day. As mentioned, Halloween is not a biblically-appropriate celebration and it certainly is not a Christian practice. It is a given fact that on the eve of Halloween and on the day of Halloween many people dress inappropriately, if we are to use the biblical standard. On Halloween many individuals, especially the women, dress themselves as witches which the Bible clearly condemns (Exodus 22:18). Today, we’re inspired to discuss this topic to share with you the real truth about Halloween. As always, we’re going to use the Bible as the one and the only standard of our teaching, and we ask of Yahweh’s Holy Spirit presence to guide us while doing so. We hope and pray you’ll have the eyes to see and the ears to hear of this true and faithful heavenly message of love and truth.
What is the origin of Halloween and/or All Saints’ Day? All Saints’ Day was declared in the seventh century, and later moved in November 1 and the evening before became known as Halloween. On October 31st the Druids, and the order of priests in ancient Gaul and Britain, believed that on Halloween, ghosts, spirits, fairies, witches, and elves came out to harm people. From these Druid beliefs come the present-day use of witches, ghosts, and cats in Halloween festivities. The custom of using leaves, pumpkins, and corn stalks as Halloween decorations comes from the Druids. The early peoples of Europe also had a festival similar to the Druid holiday. In the 700s, the Catholic Church named November 1 as All Saints’ Day. The old pagan customs and the Christian feast day were combined into the Halloween festival. It may come as a surprise to you that a Pope (Pope Gregory) advocated the incorporation of pagan practices of sacrifices. Yet, the Bible opposes this, as they’re demonic (1 Corinthians 10:20-21). Why would a Pope put the Catholic celebration of the dead on top of the pagans’ celebrations of the dead? Because the Catholic feasts are in continuity and fulfill the meaning of the pagan ones! Again, Bible clearly condemns the use of pagan practices (Deuteronomy 12:29-32; Jeremiah 10:2-6; 1 Corinthians 10:21; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18). Only the Bible is the source of true and sound doctrine (2 Timothy 3:16). All traditions of men are simply vain and useless!
Furthermore, the veneration of claimed saints began to be a significant problem with the Greco-Roman churches in the fourth and later centuries, despite the fact it was not an apostolic practice. By incorporating familiar Pagan images such as Celtic gods, the Green Man, and bicephalic heads within churches and cathedrals, confused church officials encouraged the general populace to intermingle the two spiritual traditions in their mind supposedly easing their acceptance of the new religion and smoothing the transition from the old ways to the new. Early Christians did not pray to dead saints nor observe anything like Halloween, All Saints’ Day, Easter, Christmas, or New Year, to name a few. Yes, many holidays that people keep came from paganism, and have ties to the ancient Babylon mystery religion. Even many pagan deities were essentially changed from being the “god of something” to being called the “saint of something.” Christians should flee temptation and sin (1 Corinthians 6:18; 2 Timothy 2:22), not embrace it nor promote it! They should not combine pagan practices in with the worship of the true Elohim (1 Corinthians 10:19-21; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18), even it is a tradition (Matthew 15:3-9). When Elohim sent the prophet Nehemiah to help the children of Israel who had been influenced by Babylon, here’s what Nehemiah said he did: “I cleansed them of everything pagan” (Nehemiah 13:30). The New Testament warns of a compromised faith and “Mystery Babylon the Great” (Revelation 17:5). Notice what the Bible teaches that Elohim’s people should do in regards to “Babylon the Great.” It says,”Come out of her, My people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues” (Revelation 18:4). Yes, Christians are commanded to flee Babylon!
While traditions that are consistent with the Word of Elohim are fine (1 Corinthians 11:2; 2 Thessalonians 2:15), those in conflict with the Bible should not be kept. Notice the New Testament makes that clear: “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Messiah” (Colossians 2:8). He (Yahshua Messiah) answered and said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of Elohim because of your tradition?…Hypocrites! Well did prophet Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: “These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men” (Matthew 15:3, 7-9). Notice Yahweh will be a Father to those who will not be part of pagan practices. “I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, says Yahweh Almighty” (2 Corinthians 6:14-18). He is not a Father to those that embrace traditions as part of worship. Although some believe pagan traditions pleases Elohim, they are deluding themselves! He says it makes a difference in that instead of this pleasing Him, idols and images worship are pagan practices that’ll bring His wrath (Ezekiel 30:13). Yes, patronizing Halloween and displaying Halloween images makes you guilty of idolatry, paganism, and, worse, even worship of Satan the devil! You may find Halloween harmless, but will you choose fun over the truth?
In closing, stay away from the Halloween tradition. Repackaged demonic holidays such as Halloween and/or All Saints’ Day do not honor the true Elohim of the Bible. Father in heaven Yahweh wants you to trust Him and do things His way, not yours (Proverbs 3:5-6). Many today keep non-biblical religious holidays because of pressure from family members. Others will not keep the biblical Holy Days because of pressures from their society and/or their employers. Many religions today observe pagan holidays that have been modified with Christian terms and some changes of practice. Yahshua the Messiah warned that those who followed Him should expect to have problems with family members (Matthew 10:36) and the world. Yahshua did not tell them to compromise with a world that would hate His true followers (John 15:18-19), but to strive for perfection (Matthew 5:48). The Word of Elohim mentions that many have accepted traditions that they should not and it encourages repentance from those once they realize this: “O Yahweh, my strength and my fortress, My refuge in the day of affliction, The Gentiles shall come to You from the ends of the earth and say, “Surely our fathers have inherited lies, worthlessness and unprofitable things” (Jeremiah 16:19). The Bible teaches the following about Yahweh’s people: “They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in His paths” (Psalm 119:3). Christians are commanded not to be unequally yoked together with the believers of paganism. The Bible says: Therefore, “Come out from among them And be separate, says Yahweh. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you” (2 Corinthians 6:14). Always remember that Satan the devil tries to make sin look good (Genesis 3:1-6) and appears as “an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). Do not let him, or his fake ministers deceive you! And do not compromise yourself with the evil and pagan tradition of Halloween! It is okay to remember the death of your loved ones and those that are very dear to you, but don’t associate that with any of the Halloween trappings. May you be enlightened by this true and faithful teaching. May Yahweh bless those who are faithfully doing His will and preaching the true Gospel. And may this real truth set you free! Our love and peace to all of you, especially to the other “little flock” brethren out there. May Yahweh, our Elohim, protect us all. These things we humbly pray to Yahweh through Yahshua, our coming King, Master and Savior, Amen. Halleluyah, Shalom.
